GALLUS BEAR - More than an embroidery company from St.Gallen

True to the motto «in love with St.Gallen embroidery», the young St.Gallen company has dedicated itself to the St.Gallen embroidery tradition. Under the label «GALLUS BEAR», which was derived from the name giver of the city of St.Gallen (monk «St.Gallus» around 550-620/640) and the legend of his encounter with the strong bear, additional life is to be breathed into St.Gallen embroidery. The idea of combining St.Gallen embroidery with luxurious fashion accessories was born in 2021 after a visit to the St.Gallen Textile Museum in July 2020.

After a visit to the textile museum in St.Gallen, Paddy Gloor was so extremely fascinated by the fusion of traditional St.Gallen craftsmanship and fashion accessories for men that he even had sleepless nights.

So he summoned up all his courage and founded the start-up «GALLUS BEAR GmbH» in spring 2021. With this company and his idea, he now wants to take St.Gallen embroidery on his exclusive accessories for men (and also ladies) out into the wide world.

Paddy Gloor - the Founder of GALLUS BEAR

Trained typographer and screen communicator, or project manager for digital media, ventures into the fashion industry. As the son of a trained seamstress who worked as a pattern maker/directrice at renowned textile companies in St.Gallen, most recently at AKRIS, and a trained textile merchant who worked at traditional companies such as Huber-Lehner AG, Jakob Rohner AG, TISCA Tischhauser & Co. AG and Bischoff Textil AG, Paddy Gloor grew up in Teufen.

Thus, his roots pointed to an earlier entry into the textile industry.
